Sierra Admissions is a private consulting company with some of the best former admissions officers in the country, but we’re also writers—all of us.

And we write a lot.

We see writing about admissions as a way to sharpen our knowledge and to create informational access for those who can’t afford private consulting. So we push ourselves to write the best content on the internet about all admissions topics.

We write in two venues primarily:

  1. AdmitReport.com: To make admissions information more accessible, we created a site where we post school guides, example essays, and our hardest-hitting strategic insights.
  2. Reddit’s r/ApplyingToCollege (A2C) community: With more than 1mm members (students, parents, and counselors), A2C is the biggest college admissions community in the world. I (Alex) am a moderator of the community and our team are among the community’s biggest content creators.

Below, you can read our most important pieces of writing about the admissions space on Admit Report and on Reddit.
